Hello my name is Eddy, online I am usually known as "Okolona Wolf" or "The Lone Wolf" . Over the years I have toyed with the idea of writing my own wrestling blog. I do not claim to be an expert and I am really not trying to pass myself off as one. I will leave that up for you to decide.

I have had a few blogs on different sites in the past , you might remember "The 10-Bell Salute" , "The Sharp Edge", or "The Razor's Edge". All 3 in some form was posted on Blogger. Basically I think I just tried to cover to much stuff at once, and I never really got the following I wanted. Although I thought "The Razor's Edge" was a little better than the first two incarnations. I had a couple of new writers that was going to join with me and had even discussed having a 20Q blog with a well known name it the business. I think with each attempt at doing this I am getting a little better.

Now with the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania behind us and all the new changes WWE is making. I find myself stuck with my opinions and no where to write about them. In my new blog I am going to try and keep it simple at first , but still very informative. I am going to attempt to reach out to the stars I have met over the years and some other key people in the business that may have an interesting perspective of how things are being ran today. I plan on also talking with some up and coming talent and Indy workers, because you never know which one of the guys you are hanging out with outside of an arena after a show is going to be the next CM Punk!

I have met so many legends, icons, and a lot of today's superstars just out of chance that I wish I started something like this 10 years ago, and I'll be the first to tell you that 90% of them are generally nice guys. I have stood next to Andrea the Giant not long before he passed away. To be honest I don't know if I have ever met a nicer guy. While managing a restaurant I got to sit down with Hulk Hogan and Macho Man after their meal and chat with them. They really made me feel like one of the guys. I have gotten Sandman so drunk before a match that he almost fell off a ladder. The list can go on and on about the people I have met. Maybe I will share some of those stories if the chance comes up. Until than be on the look out for my new blog ,which I haven't came up with a name yet or a place to write it, but I will post this on all of my old blogs in the hope that some of my old fans will see it. Until than keep an open mind and support all the talent, heels a faces alike, they all put their hearts, souls , and health on the line with every match they are in. Just for your entertainment.

Night Of Champions recap!

The chaos that was caused by the 2008 draft only got worse during the PPV "Night Of Champions" RAW was in the unique position of getting all three World titles on one show, but only if Cena , Batista , & Kane would have won their matches. As most of you already now that is not how it went down. Night of Champions turned out to be a Night of Disaster!
Triple H for the first time in his career pinned the "Doctor of Thuganomics" John Cena. Taking the prized WWE Championship to Smackdown with him. Cena was confident knowing it was he that beat Triple H at Wrestlemania XXIII when "The Game" tapped out under the pressure of the STFU. This time however was a different story. After trading several impressive moves and holds, The King of Kings capitalized with a Pedigree to earn the victory!
Edge was also successful in keeping his World Championship out of the hands of his opponent, Batista. Ending the nearly year long rivalry and marking Batista last chance at the title now that he will be going to RAW. Every time the gold had been on the line Batista just could not seem to get his hand raised against The Rated R Superstar. Even though he gave his all to win his fourth World title, and after a devastating spine buster the reign of Edge looked about to be over. Then GM Vicki Guerrero stopped the referee's count and called out Chavo to finish the match as a special guest referee. Batista hoping to offer a little pay back for months of torture, grabbed Vicki and tossed her over the top rope. Leaving his back open for edge to smash the gold into the back of his head to steal the win!
Finally Mark Henry is a World Champion! I have said for a long time that The World Strongest man needed a title run. Out of everyone in the WWE that has never held one of the top belts, he deserved it the most. Pretty good for someone that was a late edition to the ECW championship match. GM Theodore Long decided to give him the opportunity after pinning Kane on ECW this past Tuesday. Kane and Big Show’s rivalry has been heating up for months, but it has always been overshadowed by Henry, who forced his way into the picture with numerous attacks on the Big Red Machine. Kane put everything he had left into throwing Big Show off the top turnbuckle. After which both giants where lying on the mat gasping for breath. Henry came in with a big splash and a three count on Kane to become the ECW World Champion!
Ted DiBiase Jr. has been taunting World Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly, for the past few weeks stating that he will win the titles in his first ever wrestling match in the WWE. Never once revealing who his tag team partner would be. When bell time had arrived there was no sign of DeBiase's partner, saying that his partner was on the way and to go ahead and start the match asking for Holly first. As Holly began to face him Cody attacked him from behind revealing that he himself was DiBiase's partner. I myself think this was a great move on the part of the WWE writers. Let's face it the team of Rhodes and Holly had grown a little boring. Can the crowd accept the turn of Cody? I think eventually they will. At least this way we add a little more excitement in Cody's career and the possibility of Holly getting revenge would be a good idea for a story line.
With expert teamwork, the team of John Morrison and The Miz was able to ward off the advances of the Irish father and son, Finlay and Hornswaggle. For a second it looked as if Hornswaggle had turned the tables when he set up for the tadpole splash, but Morrison put a stop to it by ripping Hornswaggle from the top rope and picked up the pin fall.
In a surprise turn of events, the rookie newcomer Kofi Kingston is now the Intercontinental Champion! I think everyone was expecting Shawn Michaels to face Chris Jericho for the title, but due to his recent eye injury he was unable to do so. While in the ring condemning the fans for cheering on HBK, Jericho was cut off by the sound of Kofi Kingston's music. The Jamaican Superstar would be the one to challenge Jericho. After an impressive show against an in-ring veteran, it seemed Kofi’s luck had run out with Y2J having him locked in the Walls of Jericho in the center of the ring. Much to the surprise of everyone, Shawn Michaels came through the audience and laid out Lance Cade at ringside with Sweet Chin Music. HBK then distracted Jericho just long enough for Kofi to regain his composure and pick up the win to become the new Intercontinental Champion.
Throughout the match, Chavo tried to take Hardy's left knee apart. But each time, Hardy fought through the pain and found a way to continue. It wasn't long before Hardy was able to hit The Twist Of Fate and retained his U.S. Championship!
Of course it is no surprise to me that Mickie James is still our women's champion! Katie Lea might have a future in this business but she still needs to work on her in ring ability some. Beside Mickie James is still sexier! After suffering a devastating shoulder injury, which the ruthless Katie Lea exploited beyond the limits, Mickie found the inner strength inside herself and sealed the smug challenger’s fate with a climatic DDT.

Smackdown Recap, Ultimate Warrior, Gregory Helms, Boogeyman

The world of the WWE was still covered in dust after the recent draft. As of yet the disturbances have yet to settle into their new homes. One of the biggest disturbances would have to be Triple H's draft to Smackdown. He kicked off the evening with a formal introduction and was soon interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion Edge. Who in turn was attacked by Batista. Batista took it upon himself to kidnap the World title and did a little posing with Triple H and the belts. Triple H later returned the favor by stopping the beat down Umaga and The Family started to dish out. The ring was cleared in a matter of seconds with Edge leaving with his title.
Edge's night was not a total loss though, he did manage to beat U.S. Champion Matt Hardy in a champion vs champion non title match.

However the bad luck did seem to continue with Hawkins & Ryder, because they could not find away to beat the father and son duo of Finlay & Hornswaggle.

We had a sneak peak at the Night Of Champions ECW match when Kane & Big Show teamed up against Mark Henry & MVP. MVP tried to leave ringside but Mark Henry was fed up and tossed his partner in the ring for Kane to score a monstrous choke slam and pin.
GM Vicki Guerrero has yet to make a decision regarding who will face Natalya in the first ever Diva Championship. Maryse, Victoria, & Natalya faced off with Michelle McCool, Cherry, & Kelly Kelly in a six diva tag match. Michelle had a strong match almost dominating, but it was the quick thinking Maryse that scored the pin.

Last but not least Vladimir Kozlov's opponents are at least starting to get bigger, but yet again he just made an example of Domino.

In Other News..........

NWE (Nu-Wrestling Evolution) which by no means a chump promotion. Has just witnessed the return of "The Ultimate Warrior" to the ring! After 10 long years he made his return against NWE Heavyweight Champion Orlonado Jordan for the title. From what I have been able to gather the match was semi impressive. With Warrior even launching himself from the top rope with a big splash. The storyline leading up to match was very similar to the Sting vs. Angle storyline in TNA. Warrior pinned Jordan to win the NWE heavyweight title. But then he took the microphone and declared that he wants to make the title vacant. The belt will be put up for grabs in a big tournament.

The Boogeyman and Gregory Helms have been out of action far to long. They always seem to create interesting story lines and I am looking forward to the shows getting some sparks upon their return. Boogeyman's calf injury was probably healed a long time ago, and he was spotted this past Tuesday backstage. Helms has also been out and about by making an appearance at FCW. I am not real sure how it works now in Florida , but back in the OVW days when a wrestler appeared it wasn't long before he was on the main shows again.

ECW recap , Supplemental Draft, & a Superstar returns!

First off I want to say that it was a very cheesy way to end McMahon's Million Dollar Giveaway. Didn't Vince learn anything from his fake death storyline? I guess not! I would have thought the giveaway would last through the summer. I guess it was too much of a hit on his pocketbook. Anyway moving on.....

ECW welcomed their one and only new wrestler from the original draft on RAW, Matt Hardy, by placing him in a tag match with CM Punk as his partner. Against the WWE Tag Team Champions Miz & Morrison. It was a good even match at first, Miz & Morrison looked about ready to score a pin when an unexpected Hornswaggle appeared distracting Miz long enough for Hardy to hit the Twist of Fate on Morrison.

Newcomer Evan Bourne (AKA Matt Sydel) is looking really good in the ring! Even though he lost this week against Mike Knox. Last week he performed the most perfect Shooting Star I have seen in a long time. With high fliers like this getting called up maybe Vince should think about re-instating the cruiserweight title. However on the flip side of this rivalry Mike Knox has improved so much over the past year. The bulk he has added just makes him look meaner. I would like to see him get a little bit of a push this year.

Kofi Kingston and Shelton Benjamin have had some classic battles the past few weeks, and it seems to have come to a head this past Tuesday when they faced in a Extreme Rules match. Somehow I just knew he would land that kick of his eventually. This match was fairly nice and is worth watching if it gets posted on WWE.com.

Last but certainly not least we had Kane & Mark Henry go head to head in a non title match. Henry surprised a lot of people when he pinned the ECW champion. I myself was not surprised. The officials have been wanting to give Henry a title run for a long time. It would not surprise me if they added him to the match this Sunday at Night Of Champions.

What A Draft!!!!!!

I was really surprised by some of the changes that have taken place at this years draft. If one show ended up the big winner that would have to be RAW. Smackdown didn't do to shabby , but very little change happened to ECW. I was really hoping ECW would be able to get a bigger roster. Instead thay lost 2 major superstars and gained only 1. Here is a list of the draftees.

Going to RAW we have.......

If we take a closer look at the results RAW is getting 4 major superstars that can be thrown straight into the title picture. All former Heavyweight champions. CM Punk, (a former ECW champion , a huge fan base, a huge merchandise seller, and not to mention the current Money in the Bank holder), is perfect for WWE championship contention, and with his huge popularity it would not be a mistake to give him the title for a couple of months. Rey Mysterio, (a former World champion) , I am sure will be right in with the big boys again when he gets back from injury. Although I have a feeling he will be tossed into another rivalry with JBL after his return. Batista , ( former World champion, and current #1 contender) could possible bring the World title to RAW, but I highly doubt it. Could easily be thrown into the title mix. Kane (former WWE champion, and current ECW champion) now this was a shocker! Kane will always be a top contender for any title. Possibly could bring the ECW title to Raw with him. With out a doubt RAW ended up with a bigger chunk of the draft, and the possibility have all 3 heavyweight belts being on RAW.

Smackdown did pretty good also. Triple H , (Current WWE champion) is the franchise of all the WWE.(Now that the Undertaker is gone), He could possibly bring the WWE belt back to Smackdown with him. I am sure Edge is shaking in his boots over this one. Jeff Hardy (former IC Champion) could easily be thrown in the title picture. Mr. Kennedy (former US champion) also could be. Umaga (former IC champion) again could be too but more than likely make a run a fall short again.

You can put in the record books that I said this! ECW GOT SCREWED AGAIN! Don't get me wrong Matt Hardy is a huge addition to the ECW roster, but he is all thay got. Plus they lost CM Punk and Kane. I know ECW is not considered one of the major shows, but it could be. It needs a bigger roster, another hour, and maybe another title. It's almost like WWE isn't even trying to keep it around. I am sure Matt Hardy will be in the title picture because he is the biggest name on the roster now! I really don't mean to downgrade his ability, but the whole situation is not fair to ECW and not fair to Matt. The WWE has 80 something wrestlers under contract down in Florida. What is stopping them from calling a few more up to fill out the roster a little? You are already paying them. Maybe I don't know what I am talking about. I am not and probably never will be on the WWE committee, but it just makes more since to me to try and make ECW successful.

One last thing. Michael Cole and Jim Ross have switched places. Although I love to see Ross and Foley working together it is sad to see him leaving RAW.

Vince McMahon was not lying when he said it was time to shake things up, the world of the WWE has been shaken up a lot, and it will be interesting to see how everything settles.

One of the most decorated women in the history of professional wrestling. Her accolades have included being the first recipient of the CAC's Art Abrams Lifetime Achievement Award, being inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in New York and she will be the first woman inducted to the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in Waterloo in 2008.

Banner dated Elvis Presley from 1956 to late 1958. She was married to Johnny Weaver for 35 years before divorcing him in 1994. She had one child, a daughter named Wendi. You may remember Johnny Weaver's Ten Bell earlier this year. I know they had been divorced for some time, but it is just odd how married people die so close together sometimes. My heart goes out to Wendi losing both parents in such a short time.

A.K.A. Judy Grable "Barefoot Contessa"

At the very young age of 13 she entered the world of professional wrestling! Grable started wrestling in 1938. She wrestled in women's independent promotions which were early promotions of women. She won the AWW Women's Championship on May 14, 1947 which was her first and early success as a professional wrestler. Judy Grable was very beautiful and this attracted people. In 1956, a tournament was held to determine the new NWA World Women's Champion. She showed a wonderful performance and advanced to the final round of the tournament on September 18, 1956 when she lost to long-time rival The Fabulous Moolah, which made Moolah the first-ever NWA World Women's Champion.

Died March 28, 2008 of a liver disorder.
He was a real life martial arts expert and used this as his in ring gimmick.

Slinker's liver problems were attributed to a lifetime of alcohol addiction. His son said he always tried to turn his life around, but just couldn't find the right path. David Jr. also noted that his father never brought his troubles home with him.

After he joined the Marines when he was just 17 years old, Slinker eventually earned a college degree from the University of Tampa and was a Tampa police officer for 10 years. He also appeared in the 1981 film Mr. No Legs, a kung-fu/action flick.

He held the NWA Southeastern Heavyweight championship and the NWA Florida Tag Team championship with Sgt. Rock in 1990. He also teamed with Kendall Windham, Ed Leslie (Brutus Beefcake) and Ron Bass. With Bass, the duo faced Andre the Giant and Dusty Rhodes at the NWA Mid-South Superdome Extravaganza on December 25, 1978, during a tournament to fill the vacant NWA United States Tag Team titles. Slinker and Bass lost.

Following his retirement during the early 1990s and after a run as Caribbean Junior Heavyweight champ, Slinker would manage Bass and Robert Fuller before becoming a promoter in Florida. It was there that Slinker met Rob Szatkowski and suggested he change his ring name to Rob Van Dam.

Slinker was also the stepfather of wrestler Dennis Knight, who worked as Mideon, Phineas I. Godwinn and Tex Slazenger. As well, Slinker was one of The Rock's original trainers when the Hollywood star was known as Flex Kavana in the USWA.

A second-degree black belt in judo and a sixth-degree black belt in Yoskukai (a Japanese style of contact fighting), Slinker also taught martial arts lessons to the public and to his family.

Chase Tatum

Tatum was found dead at his home after an apparent accidental drug overdose on March 23 , 2008.

At 19 years old he won the Mr. Georgia bodybuilding competition.

He began his career as a personal trainer, one of his clients was a WCW personality who encouraged him to audition. Although Tatum was accepted on his first try, his wrestling career was short lived. He retired after only two-and-a-half years, the breif carrer left him battling severe back problems and no health insurence to help pay for surgery. This of course led to a painkiller addiction.

As much as Vince McMahon is doing for all his ex-superstars by paying for their rehab, maybe Ted Turner should look into doing this for the many wrestlers that worked for him and never McMahon. After all Vince has probably already offered to pay for most of the WCW talent, because thay later worked for him. I am sure their are many more that didn't and could really use the help!

The WWE Draft is coming up, good timing too because the rosters need to be shaken up a bit. Action is starting to get a little boring. Just thought I would make a post saying who I would like to see drafted this year.

Drafted to RAW

1. "The Animal" Batista would have to be my #1 choice to see on RAW. He has been spinning his wheels a little on Smackdown. And RAW can use a new man in title contention.

2. CM Punk. I doubt very seriously that he will use his money in the bank chance against Kane. He has a huge fan base and would make some interesting rivalries on the RAW roster.

3. Elijah Burke. A huge talent that is not being used to his potential on ECW. He deserves to be on the big show!

4. Deuce (aka The Son of The Superfly, for those that didn't know) Another huge talent not being used enough and is being held down by his partner.

5. Victoria , The original bad ass of the women's division. Plus I really want to see a Pheonix vs. Victoria rivalry!

6. Armando Estrada, just because I don't think he is ECW material and would be much better used working up the lower ranks of RAW, now that he is an active wrestler.

Drafted to Smackdown

1 "The Rainbow Haired Warrior" Jeff Hardy will have to be my #1 choice for Smackdown. I would love to see The Hardy's on the same show again. Not just for the tag division but Jeff would look good in title contention also.

2 Melina just to see her in different rivalries and a little more flair to the women's ranks on Smackdown.

3 Kofi Kingston , honestly he makes a good addition to any roster, he has the makings of a fan favorite and smackdown has more time to use on him. Don't get me wrong ECW did pretty good pitting him against Shelton Benjamin, but the possible story lines and rivalries on Smackdown would be endless.

4 Matt Striker is spinning his wheel on ECW and not really accomplishing much. He had much better storyline before he went to ECW and now with Big Daddy V out he really does not have much to do.

5 Mike Knox, another one that is spinning his wheels a little, but deserves a better chance. He has gotten better since his return.

6 Trevor Murdoch, because Cade and Murdoch need to be split up for good if either is going to continue in the WWE. Get them into better rivalries.

Drafted to ECW

This section was a little more difficult because superstars are going to have to be chosen that will want to either go to the smaller show as a favor to Vince McMahon and draw a bigger fan base or a superstar that is getting lost on the bigger shows and might do better on ECW.

1 "The Bellfast Brawler" Finlay will have to be my #1 choice for ECW. He would make the perfect ECW champion.

2 Umaga, another one that would make a good ECW champion, that just can't seem to get ahead enough for a title shot on RAW.

3 Santino Marella a real bad ass in disguise! Yes trust me on this. His real fighting style is perfect for ECW. Maybe keep him in the corny Marella gimmick for a bit, then have him snap and start really kicking ass! Maybe a well placed chair shot will do the trick! LOL. Most of the crowd would be shocked.

4 Eve Torres, come on we all want to see Eve vs. Layla in a real battle for ECW rivalry.

5. Domino, just to give him a chance in singles competition. He has the power, it just needs to be used better.

6 DH Smith, yes he is still around! They are keeping him around for some reason and I for one would like to see more of what he might be able to do. For the record "The Next Generation Hart Foundation" was a great idea and still is! Bring in Teddy Hart!

One Night Stand Predictions

First Off I want to say that I would have liked to have seen ECW with a bigger chunk of the action. Maybe bring back some past ECW superstars for one night only, but at least they have made extreme matches. The card does look a little more interesting than the past couple of PPVs.

I Quit Match

I'll start off with the woman's I Quit Match. As ruthless as Melina can be I don't think she can withstand the power and savagery of Beth. It might turn out to be an interesting match, but Beth Phoenix will have to be my pick to win.

Singapore Cane Match

This match could possibly steal the show! Five former ECW champions to determine the number 1 contender for the ECW belt. I'll start off with Chavo. He is one of the most talented wrestlers in the WWE today, but will probably will never get the respect he truly deserves. I believe he was just given a title reign as a reward for his hard work. I don't think that the WWE will let him have the belt anytime soon. Next we have John Morrison, one of the brightest young stars and should have a long future in this business, but in my opinion he would be best moved to another show so I don't think he will be the one to win this match. CM Punk does not need this win. As winner of the money in the bank he can have his chance anytime he wishes. Big Show is probably the odds on favorite to win. He has the size , power , & now a mean knockout punch. He could be the one to win, but I am choosing the dark horse! Yes that is right I am going against the odds and picking the ECW original Tommy Dreamer. He has the most experience in this type of match. The fans really want to see Dreamer back at the top, and this could be his time!

Falls Count Anywhere

Umaga has the size and power but Hardy seems to almost always have Umaga's number. When these two have gone one on one Hardy usually has his hand raised. Hardy to win with some crazy suicide dive from some high altitude.

Stretcher Match

This is a hard one to pick, but since I believe RAW is moving toward a HHH vs. HBK rivalry for the championship I am going to say Shawn Michaels will win this.

First Blood Match

I know a lot of people want to see Cena back in championship contention, but JBL is really stepping up his game as of late. I know in past posts I have downed JBL since his return to the ring, but I will be the first to say he proved me wrong. Even though he lost at Judgment Day, he kicked John Cena's ass 99% of the match. Plus I would have to say a First Blood Match favors JBL.

Last Man Standing

This age of Orton is over! I am sure he will have the belt again one day, but not this Sunday! Plus I am sure Triple H's sledgehammer will be under the ring somewhere.

TLC

It is not time for Undertaker to retire. No way! He would not go out like this. Edge will leave with a flaming ladder up his ass. LOL. Not really but I am sure it will be something like that!

He debuted on June 12, 1983 as Freddy Rodriguez and wrestled under that name until 1986 when he transformed to Bestia Salvaje. Spending most of his time in CMLL and EMLL is the reason most of my readers have never heard of him. He won the CMLL Tag Titles twice with Scorpio Jr. and the CMLL Trios Titles with Emilo Charles Jr. & Sangre Chicana. He wrestled his last match two months before his death.

This is my first Future Stars post, one I hope to keep doing. In these posts I would like to bring attention to some of the wrestlers in OVW that I think deserve a chance on one of the big shows. In this my first "Future Stars" I would like to point out a tag team that has worked very hard at being the best they can be, Los Locos! Right now they are on top of OVW's Tag Team Division and probably enjoying more popularity than they have ever had. It baffles me that the WWE has packed up and left these two behind. WWE says they are looking for more Latino wrestlers, but instead of signing the two that have worked so hard to prove themselves they sign wrestlers that have their lives so screwed up I doubt we will ever really see them in WWE. I have watched Los Locos over the past couple of years and have seen them improve ten fold. They work great as a tag team and I think would have made a excellent choice to be Chavo's sidekicks in ECW or a good addition to the tag team division on RAW. So to you Raul & Ramon I ask that you stick in there and keep trying, you have worked hard and you deserve the chance. I am sure someone will take notice in the future.

Backlash Predictions!

First off I want to start by saying that Backlash is not really looking that interesting to me this year. All Heavyweight Championships are just repeats of Wrestlemania, except for the addition of JBL in the WWE Championship. I am glad WWE decided to make it an Fatal 4-way Elimination Match. It almost makes up for the repeats. I have not decided if I will actually pay the money to see this one yet, just may leave it up to the kids. Anyway here are my predictions!

12 Diva Tag Team Match
Mickie, Ashley, Kelly, McCool, Cherry, & Maria vs. Beth, Nattie, Jillian, Melina, Victoria, & Layla
This might not be the most popular prediction, but Beth's team has the power and experience over Mickie's. Layla is really their only weakness. Beth's team should win.

HBK vs. Batista with special guest referee Jericho

Although I agree with everything HBK has said in the whole Flair situation, I do not think he will be able to overcome the power of Batista. Jericho should call it down the middle here with Batista winning.

ECW Championship

The best thing to do is keep the belt on Kane, somehow he will overcome the addition of Bam Neely and put both him and Chavo on their ass! Kane to win.

WWE Championship 4-way elimination

By making this an elimination match Orton could finally be in trouble. A normal Fatal 4-way would have favored Orton and Bradshaw, but elimination will favor Triple H and Cena. I will have to go with the smartest one in the ring, Triple H should leave as the new champion!

U.S. Championship

Matt Hardy seems to have come back well rested and 100% better. Time for MVP to go down! Hardy to win.

Battle of the Giants

Kahli is to slow and Big Show is alot faster than he used to be. Big Show to win!

WWE Championship

Though call and should be the match of the night, but I feel it would be stupid to have Undertaker lose the title after one month! Undertaker to win!

Passed away on March 16, 2008, aged 66, following a massive heart attack at his home in Euless, Texas after returning from an autograph session. Before his death, he made a call to his friend, Michael Hayes.

Gary Hart really made the rounds as a wrestler in the Wisconsin - Illinois area in the early '60s , believe it or not, was a bleech-blonde "nature boy" type as a wrestler in the mid-60s known as "Gay" Gary Hart , but he is best remembered for his heel-manager roll in promotions like World Class Championship Wrestling.

A list of wrestlers that Hart managed reads like a who's who of professional wrestling: Angelo Poffo, George "The Animal" Steele, The Kangaroos (Al Costello, and Karl von Brauner), Missouri Mauler and Brute Bernard, The Spoiler (Don Jardine), Mark Lewin, Curtis Iaukea, the Great Kabuki, the Great Muta, Pak Song, Bob Orton Jr., Dicky Slater, Buzz Sawyer, Bruiser Brody, Gino Hernandez, Al Perez. Wrestlemania predictions!

Sorry I haven't had the chance to post more, but the wife has been home more and I don't get the chance to be online as much as I used too. For what it is worth here was my predictions for Wrestlemania, sorry I could not get them posted before the PPV, but I swear I have not altered them since seeing the PPV.

Bunnymania Lumberjack Match

With the push Maria is getting for posing in playboy, I am sure Maria and Candice will find some way to win this one.

Belfast Brawl

Even when JBL was at his best he would not have a chance against Finley in this match! Hands down Finley will dominate!

24-man Battle Royal - winner faces ECW Champ

Going by the short list that is posted, I would have to say WWE will use this chance to finally put a championship belt around Kane's waist again! Besides Kane the only other person I see winning this is Mark Henry. Either one will make a great storyline and finally bring more interest back to ECW.

Brand vs. Brand

First off, what happen to ECW in this match? Anyway Batista should win. The Samoan Bulldozer is just going to be hitting a wall in this one.
Money In The Bank Ladder Match

There is talk about a surprize entry in this match. Since Jeff will be unable to make it, it leaves an open spot. Who could the surprize be? Maybe the returning K-Kwik (Ron Killings). It would be nice and possible since he had to leave AAA early under WWE orders, but anyway going by the current list I think the best storyline would be Shelton Benjamin. He has shined in the past and I think he is ready for a little push, but if Kwik does return in this match I do see them giving him the push.

Career Threatening Match

Sorry Flair, I have picked you to win every match until this one. None of the others were good enough to retire the legend, but know it is The Showstopper at Wrestlemania!?!?!? Will miss you Flair!

Mayweather vs. Big Show

This has been one of the tough ones to decide. Reputations are at stake and the only out come I can see is Mayweather winning by DQ! Big Show is going to hurt him bad!
World Heavyweight Championship

This one could go either way, but I am putting my money on the deadman. I do not believe Edge is the one thay want to end the streak. I still think if he ever loses at Wrestlemania it will be against Kane, not Edge!

WWE Championship

Another hard one to decide, but I finally made my choice and sticking to it! Triple H!

As you can see I got a few wrong, but I am very proud at predicting the ECW championship! Maybe Kane can add a little more interest into the ECW brand!

Passed away on March 6, 2008 after suffering a massive stroke. As a graduate of the University of Buffalo (1956), he became known as The Buffalo Bomber. He went into submarine service during WWII and then went to Univ.of Buffalo. In 1980 he was inducted into the U.B. Athletic Hall of Fame for his wrestling and football. He was discovered by Lou Thesz during a scrimmage, and later he became a pro wrestler. He was a promoter in Jacksonville until 1981 when he left wrestling & became the Chief of the Gator Bowl complex. Broke an attendance record in Jacksonville, Florida when he faced Lou Thesz for the World Heavyweight title. Best known for his cape wearing heel tag team with Mark Lewin in the 1950s and 1960s.

In 1960, Weaver was called "the current 'rage' of the teenagers," and the "Rage" nickname stuck with him in his early years. He was initially paired with Sonny Myers as Sonny and Johnny Weaver. He won his first title, the NWA Southern Tag Team titles, with partner Cowboy Bob Ellis in December 1963. George Becker would become Weaver’s most familiar partner over the years. Becker was a big name in the San Francisco territory before settling in the Mid-Atlantic area in the mid-1960s. The two would capture the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team titles five times. Weaver would also win the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team titles with partners Art Nielson (on two occasions), Dewey Robertson (who later became The Missing Link) and Jay Youngblood.

A deputy sheriff with Mecklenburg County in Charlotte, North Carolina since 1989 until his death. In his 50s, Weaver became one of the oldest people to take the basic law enforcement test and ultimately joined the sheriff's office. He spent most of his nineteen-year career transporting prisoners on the same back roads he'd traveled as a wrestler and promoter.

Considered the inventor of the Sleeper Hold, which he called the "Weaverlock" when he used it.

Johnny Weaver was once married to female wrestler Penny Banner.

CWF Mid-Atlantic out of Burlington, North Carolina promotes the Johnny Weaver Cup tournament every August with Weaver in attendance to present the winner with the Weaver Cup trophy. Past tournament winners have been "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel (2004), Jesse Ortega (2005), Gemini Kid (2006) and "Handsome" Mitch Connor (2007).

He began his broadcasting career in 1979 as color commentator with World Wide Wrestling host Rich Landrum. He became Landrum's permanent sidekick for the early 1980s, where he became famous for singing "Turn Out The Lights, The Party's Over" at the end of matches (a tip of the hat to Don Meredith, who did the same thing on Monday Night Football). When Landrum left the company in 1983, Weaver then worked briefly with David Crockett, before becoming paired with the longtime voice of Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Bob Caudle, whom he worked with until leaving the company in 1988.

He made a brief in-ring return in the Fall of 1987 in the corner of the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes who was using sleeper hold, calling it the "Weaver Lock," and chasing down Lex Luger and the N.W.A. United States Title. During this angle, Weaver was placed in a Japanese version of the sleeper by Hiro Matsuda, causing him to bleed from the mouth. Weaver was in Rhodes' corner at Starrcade '87: Chi-Town Heat, when Rhodes defeated Luger in a steel cage after DDTing Luger onto a steel chair.

The End Of An Era!

On Feb. 7, 2008 , WWE announced that they had ended their relationship with OVW as a developmental territory, moving all contracted talent to Florida Championship Wrestling.
For the past 10 years "Nightmare" Danny Davis has been making superstar after superstar for the WWE. It truly is the end of an era, and one that a lot of wrestling fans are sad about. Years from now they will be inducting a lot of his students in the Hall of Fame, I am sure. Here is a list of his students that are still working in the WWE.

I am not going to say WWE would not be what it is today without OVW and Danny Davis. Full credit would still have to be given to the McMahon's for that, but OVW gave them the building blocks in which to do so. The list above is just the currently active OVW Alumni, I could not even begin to list the ones that have already left the WWE.

By the looks of things, it would seem that OVW is planning on continuing with business as usual. They definitely have the talent to do so. Also it seems that the talent have a little more freedom now to do a little more with their gimmicks. I don't believe Vince is totally going to turn off the tap either. He knows Danny Davis is a maker of superstars and will be grabbing a couple of talents here and there from the ranks of OVW. It is still sad to see the relationship ended though.

Since I live in the OVW area I will be posting from time to time a short profile of some of the current OVW talent and reasons why I think they are ready to be called up to one of the major shows. Weather it be WWE or TNA. So be looking for these posts in the future!
I would like to congratulate "The Fabulous One" Steve Keirn and FCW on being the new developmental contract they have with the WWE. I have always been a big fan of his and I wish him and his school the best of luck. You have mighty big boots to fill!

No Way Out Predictions!

I did pretty good with the matches at the Royal Rumble PPV. So here are my predictions for No Way Out!

Career Threatening Match

Again if "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair loses his career is over! This should be a more interesting match up then when MVP tried at the Rumble, but for the same reason I picked Flair to win over MVP, I also have to go with Flair over Kennedy. Flair is such an important icon of this industry, I do not think they will waste his retirement match on Kennedy. It is going to be someone a little more important than Mr. Kennedy. Flair will win by submission.

ECW Championship

Somewhat interesting rivilry has developed in the land of extreme. Former champ CM Punk lost the title not long ago to Chavo Guerrero, and finally the "Stright Edge Extremist" gets his rematch this Sunday. Sorry Punk fans, but I don't see CM Punk getting the title back any time soon. Chavo will find some way to cheat and win and Punk will be forced to work his way back through the ranks of ECW. A new number one contender will make himself known in the coming weeks. Possibly Shelton or the returning Big Show! Chavo will win by a pinfall.

World Heavyweight Championship

Vicki just cannot stop getting hurt can she! LOL! Good storyline with the Edge & Vicki love affair, but I really don't see it lasting much longer. Edge will cheat a win out of this match somehow, and the Edge & Mysterio fued will be over for now. Edge will win by pinfall.

WWE Championship

We all know who the WWE believes is their meal ticket at the moment, and of course they will want him with the belt come Wrestlemania! I really hate to say this but John Cena will win by submission. Regaining his championship!

Smackdown/ECW Elimination Chamber

Six men will enter; The Undertaker, Finley, The Great Khali, Batista, MVP, & Big Daddy V, but only the Deadman will walk out! Everyone wants to see Undertaker and Edge at Wrestlemania, and I believe the WWE has decided to give it to us. Undertaker for the win.

Personally I will be glad when this fued is over! Why it is even on the PPV I will never understand. If the contest is even allowed to be finished, Eric Young will win, but I am betting Storm is planning on fighting instead of drinking. Look for Storm to jump Young ending the contest.

Say It Isn't So!

Just as he was set to return from a shoulder injury! Bobby Lashley has been released from the WWE. To me this is a real shocker! Vince has lost one of his most promising young superstars. There are rumors all over the web as to why. Some are saying he asked for his release due to how he was treated during his recovery and how his girlfriend, Kristal, was treated before her release. Then again some are saying it was a situation beyond his control. No matter what WWE really messed up! He is talking about a jump into the world of MMA, but if I was TNA officials I would be forking out top dollar to sign this guy. Think about it TNA! He is young talented powerhouse with a amature wrestling background. Think of the possible rivalry with Angle.

What Is Going On With The Wildcat?

The only thing for sure is that he is gone off the TNA roster. Some rumors are saying he signed with the WWE, while others are saying that is totally false. If he did sign with WWE, I believe Vince would start him out with a developmental contract rather then put him on one of the main rosters. I am not downgrading the Wildcat, I just don't think he is what Vince is looking for at the moment. Anyway Chris Harris probably believes he is better then a developmental deal, and wouldn't take such a contract. Whatever the case may be I wish the best for him and if he should end up in OVW it would make the promotion very interesting. How about a Chris Harris and Jay Bradley tag team?

Footsie Anyone?

Just as she was set to return to action, Video clips of Candice Michelle have surfaced in which she is involved in some foot fetish movies. Not really full fledged porn, because I don't think there has been any real nudity in them. Just videos of guys sucking her toes and licking her feet. Vince McMahon was heard saying that this is something he really didn't want his fans seeing. OK time for me to get really pissed off, rant, rave, and make some really good points! We don't know what kind of situation Candice was in at the time she made these videos. She might have really needed the money at the time and there is a lot worse things she could have done to get that! Vince hired her to do a job that she has excelled at and has even took the time to become a better in ring performer! He should not punish her for something that happened before she even worked for him. WWE is acting like their product is above something like this. That wouldn't be so bad if WWE never had their divas dancing around wearing next to nothing, hell I even remember one that had her top painted on! How about this, you still have a wrestler on the payroll with a porn star gimmick, or maybe you don't remember Val Venis since he is on the injured list. I have heard that you have been neglecting to check up on your injured also, so that may be possible. One last point and this one hits a little closer to the actual situation! I do remember a wrestler having a foot fetish not so long ago, Snitsky. He would always try to take his opponents boots off so he could lick their toes! He was even backstage sucking on Mae Young's at a PPV once. Trust me this is one wrestling fan that could have lived without ever seeing that! WWE it would be a severe injustice to release Candice for this. Please let her return to the main roster! She has become a very good in ring competitor and everyone is looking forward to her return!

Return of K-Kwik!

Word is "The Truth" Ron Killings is in the process of returning to the WWE! As soon as his drug test results are back he will be heading straight to one of the main rosters. He will be returning under the name Kwik. He is one of the most talented performers around right now and I would like to see him thrown into the Heavyweight title picture before the end of 2008. Welcome back Ron Killings!

It's Showtime!

The word has been out on the web that a multi time World Champ will be making his return to the WWE. That champ will be none other than "The Big Show" Paul Wight. He had left the industry about a year ago and has since tried to pursue a boxing career. He is down to a lean fighting weight of 440lbs. So to make a long story short we will be seeing a leaner, meaner, faster, and more dangerous Big Show then before. This could get really interesting if he picked up some boxing maneuvers. I am really looking forward to his return!

Gary Marasciulo?

Mikey Whipwreck seems to be doing a good job turning out quality performers with his New York Connection promotion. WWe has just signed another one of his wrestlers to a developmental contract. Gary "Plazma" Marasciulo is his name, but I have not been able to find much else about him. Coming from the same place as "The Major Brothers" I am looking forward to seeing what he can do.

What happen to Stevie?

Some people may have been wondering what happened to the ECW Original Stevie Richards. He seemed to be getting a lot of TV time for awhile then just disappeared. Well I did some digging and here is the scoop. Stevie has had a history of throat problems ever since his neck was broke in a match with Terry Funk back in 1997. In October his breathing had gotten so bad that he had to go in for surgery. Five of them to be exact. The purpose was to re-open his airways. From I am reading his voice is almost back to it's original sound and is recovering nicely. No word on his return, but I doubt we have seen the last of Stevie Richards!

Ten Bell Salute 2007

Barbed Wire Massacre II!

It is always nice to see a dangerous match every now and then on one of the big shows. As long as they don't over do it month after month. Apparently TNA is doing just that at their next PPV "Against All Odds"! No word yet who will be in the match, but more then likely it will be Abyss and Judas. Also in TNA news the performers have been warned that a "REAL" drug test may be coming up at the end of June. I am sure there will be a couple getting caught with steroids but not as bad as when WWE was hit. Now painkillers and marijuana is a different story. It's good to see TNA stepping up to the plate and enforcing a drug policy. Question is how will it be enforced? Fines, Suspensions, or just termination?

Lena Yada?

Apparently the Diva Search loser has found a spot on Smackdown and ECW. Don't get me wrong but didn't Eva win? Anyway she is doing some back stage interviews on Smackdown and some dance offs on ECW. She really hasn't impressed me yet, but I'll give her a chance before making my final judgement. I just don't understand how WWE officials can pass up the chance to call up some developmental talent like Victoria Crawford, Nattie Neidhart, Katie Lea, or Malina Rouka. All of which have been working their butts off to earn a spot on the big shows rosters! Victoria would have fit perfect in your announcer and dance off role. She is better looking than any of the Divas on ECW and is actually starting to show some in ring talent. Nattie would have a very good chance at taking the Woman's title from "The Glamazon" and is a huge in ring talent. Katie, who I might add I have not always been the biggest fan of, has worked her ass off for the past year. Melina, although it rarely shows, is a raw talent that could be honed into something different in the woman's division. None of these performers should be past up for a rookie talent. That being said I do wish Lena the best of luck, but you better be training hard because there is a list of performers STILL waiting for your job!

Welcome Back Candice Michelle!

Candice should be making her return to RAW very soon. She had a nasty fall from the top rope back in October and fractured her collarbone. Over the past year her in ring skill has improved a lot and I am looking forward to seeing her in the ring again. I am guessing she will be on the next episode of RAW.

Another Welcome Back to Ashley Masarro!

Ashley has been out for the past several months to be on the latest edition of the reality show "Survivor". Although she has already made her return on RAW a couple of weeks ago, I am hearing rumors she might be managing a new debuting wrestler soon. The "Master Of The Boneyard Boogie" Atlas DaBone. Billed as one of the most charismatic superstars in OVW, he should make a very interesting pairing with Ashley.

That's Not Natural!

Former Spirit Squad member Nicky Nemeth has recently started wrestling dark matches before the Smackdown/ECW taping. Introduced as "The Natural" he reportedly got more heat with his gimmick than anyone else on the show, including Vince McMahon. He came out with a huge bodyguard by the name of Big Rob who is a former competition bodybuilder by the name of Rob Terry. With such a huge reaction we could be seeing this duo on one of the shows very soon.

Ok Now I Am A Happy Man!

It has been officially announced that WWE Diva Maria will be the next to pose for Playboy! The issue will be out around WrestleMania. I really had my heart set on either Maria or Mickie. Now if they get Mickie to pose next year, I will again announce that Hugh Hefner is my Hero!

Scott Hall, What Are You Thinking?

Again Scott Hall no shows a match! He was booked to drop the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship to Biggie Size. Hall had held the belt for six months and didn't believe it was time for him to be dropping it. So instead of showing up for the match he stayed in his hotel room and forfeited the title. He pulled a similar stunt with TNA not to long before this. How many chances does this guy need before promoters relize that he is not reliable? Don't get me wrong I would love to see Scott Hall on one of the big shows again. Maybe he does have alot of personnal issues to work out, but it seems most of his problems in the industry he brings on his self. Please for the sake of your wrestling fans around the world, clean your act up and show some responsibility!

The Total Package

On Friday, October 19 Lex Luger suffered what is believed to be a major spinal stroke. Which left him paralyzed in both arms and both legs at the Spinal Rehabilitation Center in Marietta, Georgia. Luger is now starting to be able to lift his legs, move his torso, and is capable of holding a can in his hand. He was quoted as saying,"I've had 49 good years with these legs, and if I never walk again, I'll be the best wheelchairer for Jesus, you've ever seen." Yet another reason this industry should further inforce it's drug testing.

ECW Vampiress now on TNA!

Shelly Martinez, formally Ariel on TNA, is now appearing on TNA as the newest member of LAX. Shelly had the unfortunate luck of landing the role of the vampiress on ECW. A role Vince McMahon truely didn't want, but Sci-Fi kind of forced him into. I liked the surpize unvailing of Shelly being the masked member of LAX. I think this role may be better suited to Shelly's style.

To The Critics Of James Mitchel!

Leave him the hell alone! In my opinion he is playing a role that is not seen much on the big shows anymore. The evil and manipulative manager. So what if some of his gimmick may resemble past managers. There is not much in this business that hasn't been done before. I will admit that the whole being Abyss's father story is alot like the Paul Bearer & Kane storyline, but he is the only manager currently on the big shows. I think he does his best to keep the charactor a little different then the rest. Kudos to the TNA Devil.

Royal Rumble Predictions

Well this Sunday is Royal Rumble so it is time for me to make my predictions. The Rumble has always been one of my favorite PPV. The build up for this years Rumble has been great and the card looks promising. Although I would have liked to have seen an ECW match scheduled.

"Y2J vs. JBL"

First off we have the grudge match between John Bradshaw Layfield and our savior "Y2J" Chris Jericho. With the build up this rivalry has been given I would have expected a No DQ match, but with the way it is set up at the moment I would have to say Chris Jericho by tap out. It will be a brawl at first, but I believe Jericho is the most fit out of the two and has a very good chance at withstanding JBL assault. That is if JBL doesn't get disqualified.

"Career Threatening Match"

Next up and the hardest one for me to decide on is the match between Ric Flair and the U.S. Champion MVP. With this one I had to ask myself one question. Do I think this is how "The Nature Boy" will go out? And the ansewer is.... NO! Somehow I believe Ric Flair will find a way to win this. I do not believe MVP is the one they will let retire the legend. Another figure four leg lock and Ric Flair will continue to wrestle for a little while longer.

"World Heavyweight Championship Match"

Edge is set to defend his title to Rey Mysterio. This may turn out to be the best match on the card. High energy and high impact for both performers, but in the end I believe it will be "The Rated R Superstar" getting the 1-2-3 on Mysterio with a little help from outside.

"WWE Championship Match"

Randy Orton is set to defend his title to Jeff Hardy. This should be a war from start to finish, but I am predicting Randy Orton for the 1-2-3 over Hardy. Please don't hate me for this. I just believe it is in WWE's best interest to keep the belt on Orton at the moment. However I do think Hardy will win this belt before the year is out. Just not at the Rumble.

"The Royal Rumble"

I will keep this one simple! For the second year in a row......The Undertaker!

New Hispanic Wrestlers Wanted!

With the growing population of Hispanic people in the U.S., WWE officials have decided this is something that should be reflected in their business. Problem is their is not many bilingual Hispanic wrestlers. Recently WWE signed Germán Figueroa, better known as Apolo from TNA's LAX stable, he was signed to a developmental contract and will be wrestling for Florida Championship Wrestling until he is called up to one of the main rosters. He doesn't have the best background check, but he is bilingual, tall, and has a good physique. I understand the reasoning behind wanting more Hispanic wrestlers. They have always been a huge part of this industry and their American population is growing more and more every year. So it only makes since to want more in the WWE. Currently I can only think of 3 employed by WWE at the moment (Mysterio, Chavo, & Super Crazy), but is Germán Figueroa one that you really want to take a chance with? He has a history of domestic abuse & not paying child support and has spent a little time in jail for both. Also he was let go from TNA for not showing up for a match during his last run there. Now I understand that you don't have much to chose from, but I do hope you give him some time in your developmental territory to see how he works with others. Maybe he is just someone that has had a couple of bad breaks and is needing one good one. If so I applaud the WWE for giving him a chance, but due to WWE's recent turmoils this past year I would be a little leery of calling him up too soon.

Get Well Soon Cena, But Not Too Soon

John Cena's rehabilitation is going very well and he is said to be slightly ahead of schedule. Officials are hoping that he returns just after WrestleMania. The worst case scenario should have him back before the summer. Honestly take the time and get fully healed first. You will be better than ever when you return! Despite what the officials are saying WWE does not need you back right now. Okay everyone stop cursing at me for a second and let me explain myself! The world is hating Orton right now, a lot! He had a good rivalry so far with HBK and HHH, and has an even better one with Hardy. Right now the world is watching because they hate Orton so much that they want to see him get beat! Translated: Ratings! If I was the WWE I would keep the title on Orton for awhile, he is actually doing a good job at being champ. People love to hate him. Have him hold it until Cena's return. The huge pop Cena will get for finally taking down the "Legend Killer" will be the one that finally gets him over with the majority of the fans! That's my opinion, take it or leave it.

The ODB A Babyface?

Due to the positive crowd reactions, ODB will likely be booked as a babyface in the near future. I am very glad to hear this! Having met and talked to Jessica Kresa (AKA ODB) a couple of times, I can tell you she is a very nice person. WWE made a big mistake letting this one go! Plus I like her chances at taking the big Awesome Kong down. I think she can do it. Hopefully the powers that be over at TNA sees this and uses her to the best of her abilities.

Another Year Of The Stinger!

Sting, who'll be turning 49 in March, has re-signed with TNA for another year. He will be working a limited schedule in 2008. Basically, they'll put him out there when they actually need him, as opposed to having to find a role for him on every single show. He'll only do TV when it's leading up to a pay-per-view. Good News! I didn't want to see him retire ,but I also didn't want to see TNA riding on his shoulders either. I think this deal is the best thing for Sting and I am interested in seeing how he will be used this year.

Coachman The New Voice Of Smackdown?!?!?!?!

A lot of the Smackdown talent assumed Tazz would be getting his spot back, not me. ECW would not be ECW without Tazz, and I don't think Vince is ready just yet to give up on ECW. Although I really was not expecting Coachman. I was hoping for a wrestler for color commentator. Coachman is just not in the league of JBL, Tazz, and Lawler. Call me crazy but I was kind of hoping for Al Snow. Anyway it has been a couple of weeks since "The Coach" took the job and yes I still think he sucks at it!
